20:58 - Back in 2012, in an address to a group of bishops, the current Pope made some comments about the LGBTQ+ community, saying that "the homosexual lifestyle, alternative families comprised of same sex parents and their adopted children" is at odds with the gospel". Do you know whether or not this stance of his has shifted any in the last 13 years? If so, are you aware of what Pope Leo XIV is saying now? thank you
22:55 - The Vatican has strict immigration policies (Catholic World Report - Jan 15, 2025) yet seems to criticize other countries that try to impose similar policies for the same reasons that the Vatican uses to defend its sanctions. How can I explain this to someone who has become disenchanted with the church because of the seeming hypocrisy. I believe this person is saying it sounds like do as I say, not as I do.
