Ignorance is bliss―except in self-awareness.
What you don't know about yourself can hurt you and your relationships―and even keep you in the shallows with God. Do you want help figuring out who you are and why you're stuck in the same ruts? The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing system with an uncanny accuracy in describing how human beings are wired, both positively and negatively. In The Road Back to You Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile forge a unique approach―a practical, comprehensive way of accessing Enneagram wisdom and exploring its connections with Christian spirituality for a deeper knowledge of ourselves, compassion for others, and love for God. Witty and filled with stories, this book allows you to peek inside each of the nine Enneagram types, keeping you turning the pages long after you have read the chapter about your own number. Not only will you learn more about yourself, but you will also start to see the world through other people's eyes, understanding how and why people think, feel, and act the way they do. Beginning with changes you can start making today, the wisdom of the Enneagram can help take you further along into who you really are―leading you into places of spiritual discovery you would never have found on your own, and paving the way to the wiser, more compassionate person you want to become.
Want to go deeper into the Enneagram? Suzanne Stabile and Ian Cron have created a content-rich companion to their book The Road Back to You. For those who don't yet know their number, it will offer further opportunity to explore the numbers, and for those who already do, it offers an opportunity to reflect on implications for growth. This study guide features
- An overview of the Enneagram with new material about triads
- SNAP: a helpful tool for growth
- Five sessions with questions appropriate for personal growth or group discussion, with space to write
- Reflections from individuals of each type about what it's like to be their number
Whether you are on your own or meeting with a group, this guide will help you to grow in knowledge of yourself, compassion for others, and love for God.

The great Jesuit teacher, Anthony deMello, challenges us to “Wake Up!” He adds, “It is nonjudgmental awareness alone that heals and changes and makes one grow.” Suzanne Stabile is an Enneagram Master. She states, “I would say, ‘nonjudgmental awareness’ is the gift of the Enneagram.” This is, by far, Suzanne’s most requested workshop. Join her as she guides you through discerning your particular personality type within the wisdom of this ancient spiritual tool.

No test! Some tests are better than others, and some are just terrible, however Suzanne has found over the years all tests to be highly unreliable.
-
No. Suzanne believes your enneagram personality is set in the first few years of life, and it does not change. Your level of health may change as well as your movement in stress and security, but your core enneagram number will remain the same.
-
That would be awesome! Unfortunately, her teaching and work schedule combined with the time for her family and friends, does not allow for one on one sessions.
-
Learning your enneagram number is only the first step on a lifelong journey! The shame is that too many people stop there. The best second step is Suzanne’s work in The Path Between Us: An Enneagram Journey to Healthy Relationships. The accompanying study guide (meant for small groups 2+) is a phenomenal tool!

The answer is going to be different for each individual depending on what stage of life you are in and what other work you are doing. That being said, a solid plan could be: Know Your Number followed by Enneagram Triad work, then Enneagram Stance work, then learning about Stress & Security. Suzanne recommends working on these areas for at least 3 years before diving into Enneagram Subtypes.
The Enneagram Journey Curriculum
“The purpose of this curriculum is not just to teach an intellectual understanding of the Enneagram, although you will get a good grounding in its basic concepts. Knowing your Enneagram Number and learning about the Enneagram are not enough to help you work with your personality and promote spiritual growth. Transformation and growth take place as a community of people experiences the Enneagram together. That is why we have called this curriculum The Enneagram Journey—it’s a shared experience designed to help you connect with other members of your group and learn with and from each other.” — from viii of The Enneagram Journey Curriculum
What is the Enneagram Journey Curriculum?
A 12-session curriculum designed to help participants learn about the Enneagram, a powerful ancient tool for understanding motivation, behavior, and experience.
